FAQs
What is Rita CMS?
The most bad ass membership management platform in the whole, wide world.
Can I update my own member profile?
Yes. Any changes to address, email address or name will automatically be sent to the secretary of your organization.
Will I be able to see all the members in my organization?
Yes, a list with picture and contact information is available to everyone.
Can I contact them?
Yes, either individually or by emailing the whole group.
Is there a limit to the number of members I can have? Do I get charged for more?
There are no limits on the total number of members.
If I have committees, can these be put in Rita?
Yes. As many as you want. You'll be able to assign members, create events, email fellow committee members and share files.
What about events? Can the members see what we're doing?
Yes, both general events for the whole organization and events for committees. You can share files, attach photos, collect RSVPs and set up volunteer roles and/or shifts (for those big events).
Is there the ability to take attendance? Or do I need to use a spreadsheet or napkin?
As long as you have phone service, you can take attendance from anywhere. Go to the Event Dashboard of your event, tap "check-in" next to your member's name and attendance is recorded.
Can we track sponsors for events?
Yes, right in the event! Sponsors are also saved to a master list for your organization so you can see history and contact information.
We have a newsletter. Can it be published?
Yes, for both the members and on the public website automatically.
Do we need to build our own website?
No! Rita CMS includes a public website that builds itself. Fill in some basic information about your organization and a picture to start. Then start having events! Then tell your members to take pictures at those events! Everything is updating the website automatically.
What makes Rita CMS different than the other membership platforms out there like MemberDay, Wild Apricot and others?
Rita CMS makes the task of event management, member management building a website (among others things) simple. No complicated screens or sterile interface. As one user told us, "I sign into Rita and it brings joy to my tummy."
Who is Rita?
Rita was our calico cat. She was the prettiest kitty in the whole, wide world.
